Together; Watching the Tide Rush In.

By Tooma
I was taking some shots around Portpatrick harbour entrance on a day when there was a brisk wind blowing in from the Irish Sea, and I spotted the man with the little girl settle down to enjoy the scene. I knew there was a shot there I would like, and this is it.
The bright yellow slash on the sea wall to the right of shot, is a guide to sailors entering the harbour through the narrow channel. All they have to do is get line of sight to it dead centre, and hold that course until inside the harbour. Simple and effective, and why I did not remove it.

I love this - like a model town on a train layout Grin Very quaint architecture!

Clean and crisp, Tom.
A 'full of interest' capture and an interesting narrative.

---- Cancelled too many times because of rough seas making harbour traffic impossible, Jeff. The postal service used to run from here too. Forgive, if you knew this, but others may not. It sure would be nice to have the straight run across, even if pedestrians only. Smile
