Tommy or 11:01 - Remembering the brave soldiers of the 1st World War.

By Tissynoho
A metal sculpture by Ray Lonsdale called 'Tommy' or its working title was 11:01. This is sited at Seaham, County Durham. The structure is made from tiny welded pieces of Corteen steel with a high Nickel content, this allows the rust to form a protective layer and in effect seals the steel from more damage.
