A very interesting capture of a fine Old World structure. I am certain in its current state, it would not be safe for anyone. Smile Thanks very

sharing a very nice image.

A shame. Must particularly trouble you, Dimitris, as an architect. I would be afraid to put my weight on that balcony.

Of course is not in use, Peter. But the most serious is the imminent collapse.

A charming window porch, enviable, but one would not wish to use it now!

Where I live anything over 100 yrs old is ancient, even so we have many old churches, still used, and other buildings that are deteriorating badly because of lack of money for maintenance and restoration.

This would not end well.. for a Romeo standing under that balcony, let alone for a Juliet rushing out to look below...
Smile
p.s. and yes, well spotted and captured, Dimitris

I agree, I would add the colour, light and tone emphasizes the sadness behind this image.

I like this very much Dimitris.
Sadly a common sight in Greece now but; wonderful subject matter for photography.

I'm pleased to be the 30th vote and thank you very much for your kind words on my latest upload.

An inheritance isn't always a good thing by the look of things.
The balconies were probably wonderful once upon a time.

Such beautiful railings and lovely doors; what a shame the decay is ignored. Terrific capture.
I wonder if the sand in the cement is poor as it has peeled away.

Superb dereliction shot ...glad to hear the building is closed ! Neglected balconies can be as dangerous as neglected elevators I think !
