Top Fuel Final

By arhb
Whilst I'm very happy to have captured these 2 accelerating 'top fuellers' whilst panning, I didn't have the dof to get the detail on both dragsters,
the furthest one having the best detail.
Great place to get panning practice - this race: 0-272mph in 4.15seconds Smile

Good comments about the DOF, if i had to choose i'd have had the closest one in focus.
Would you ever try ISO 400 for a shot like this?

It's when you zoom in Stuart, as to where the detail is evident.
In hindsight, yes iso 400 would have been fine, allowing F11+, and it was at 70mm for the long dragsters.
I will be making more trips to 'Pod, so I will have more opportunities to refine set-up.
Very pleased with 5Dmk2 tracking/AI servo mode especially at the speed these cars were travelling.
