Tornado

A shot of A1 Pacific 60163 Tornado en-route from Crewe to the NRM at York, taken yesterday lunchtime.
The shot was taken at Ravensthorpe as the loco leaves the Manchester-Leeds main line to head towards Wakefield.

A well captured image and like the pov, maybe would have been tempted to lose the fg a little and add more height to the shot but that is a personal liking for me this does work however Colin

I wouldn't normally diagree with your comments Colin, but the sky was washed out and there was a large pylon "appearing" from the smoke and it resisted all my attempts to make a decent job of cloning it out,

PS And Network Rail have put a big yellow speed restriction sign just out of frame in front of Tornado

A very nice shot, Alan, with the loco so well placed in the frame. I think I understand where Colin is coming from, but for me there is a lot of detail in the f/g lines and their presence helps to set the scene where the image was captured. Very nice bit of work.
