Part of a series I shot showing the living conditions of township children in squatter camps round the city where I live.
Duncan Village is a transient shanty town/squatter camp in East London, South Africa.
This was the first time I ventured back into the squatter camp after being stabbed, my Nikon camera, backpack, mobile stolen by three 12years using a 2x4. They took me out from behind, using a rusty pocket knife cut my camera strap, cutting my right arms badly and collapsing a lung at the same time.
Do I hate them NO!, I must looked like a mobile ATM in an environment where they love on less than a $19dollar) a day. I should have been more careful and had someone watch my back, I was stupid when I should have known better.
