Tradesman's Entrance

By DTM
This is Hallgrimskirkja, the large church in Reykjavik that features in so many images of the city. It's 74.5 metres tall and the largest church in Iceland and one of the tallest buildings in the city. Many think it's a cathedral but it isn't, it's the parish church. I've chosen to go with a view of the sanctuary at the rear which provides a different and very attractive (in my opinion) view of the building.

I'll add an image from the front aspect as a version and I'll also add images of Rainbow Street (Skolavoroustigur) in daytime and another of it at night.

Thanks for your attention to 'A Snowy Landscape' especially to capturingthelight for his User Award.

Certainly managed to capture the majesty of the Church, and I particularly like the night version of rainbow street.
