Traditional wedding in rural Africa

By Zilba
IN Africa, even the men wear make-up, this wedding was in Kentani, just outside Gcuwa/Butterworth on the Wild Coast of what was the Transkei.

Butterworth became a municipality of the Cape Colony in 1904. The town was incorporated into the former Transkei bantustan during the apartheid years.

Excellent foreground capture with the more distant part of the image, still focussed sufficiently to give a sense of what is happening. Thank you for the back ground information about the history of this area, makes for a more interesting image.
