Train now leaving...

By Barbaraj
Another photo from August and a day trip to London. the City. I used contrast and highlights to darken the photo slightly.
Maybe too much ? . I know I was there at the wrong time , lunch time.
But the image to me is of a busy scene, people rushing and a train waiting to depart for Europe.
It seems to have suffered in the compression . Why?
I'm interested in your comments.

I trevelled through this station about a year ago. I thought it looked great then, but have never been back.
Good shot

My preference here would be V2, or somewhere between it and V1 - V1 loses some detail, and doesn't have the same feel of light, airy space as conveyed by the lighter image.

V2 for me.

#1's too dark; #2's too bright! Smile Or, at least, the sky is too bright. I'd take #2 but just darken the skylight and maybe the bright reflections from the glass wall and the grey section of roof to the left.

Great iamge but agree that v1 is too dark and v2 a little too bright

I'd agree somewhere in the middle would be great.

Yes I need a darker top of the photo and keep the lighter bottom.
Thank you for your comments which confirmed my thoughts.

I would agree with the above and somewhere between the two.
