Enzo (the owner) invites you into the kitchen .... to see in the pots and pans and to smell the wonderful food

A historic and popular restaurant, just like the piazza on which it stands, Simple, home-cooked and authentic Tuscan dishes, which will appeal to anyone keen on traditional cuisine.

I have known the restaurant since 1995 ,the menu hasn't changed for years, and why should it? The pici al cardinale (with a duck and bacon sauce) is wonderful, and all the other typically Sienese dishes are equally delicious. Grilled meats are the true speciality; the bistecca di vitello (grilled veal steak) is melt-in-your-mouth wonderful. Tucked away behind the Palazzo Pubblico in a square that serves as a parking lot for most of the day, the restaurant's location isn't great, but the food is.
