Tempus fugit - time runs faster than we might like it, but that's life.
The sun is shining, but it is not any more as it should be in mid August. Seems like we get an early autumn this year. Well, nothing to say agains nice, warm, sunny autumn days.
This set of images I took from our hotel window, one wonderful evening. They are in backwards order, as I think the most dramatic is the latest one.
With them comes a little poem from our great national poet, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Über allen Gipfeln
In allen Wipfeln
Kaum einen Hauch;
Die Vögelein schweigen im Walde.
Warte nur, balde
Ruhest du auch.
Another Night Song
a Leslie Norris translation
Above the high screes
In the tops of trees
Birds sleep in the deep forest.
Wait, and like these
You too shall rest.
Hope you enjoy the images as well as the poem.
Have a great day and a good week. I'll catch up with you in a few days.
