Tree Sparrow

By HobbitDave
Nice to see these little fellers nesting again this year. They feed alongside the house sparrows, but are much scarcer. Since a 1960s survey of them, their number has diminished by 80% due mainly to intensive farming..

Thanks for the clicks and comments on the old pocket watch yesterday, they are very welcomed and much appreciated 🙂

Intensive farming has a lot to be responsible for doesn't it Dave? They are so lovely. Excellent capture.

Not seen a sparrow for some time - must have been when uptown, I think. A fine set here, Dave, and looks happy to have posed for you 😃👍
