A child waits nervously for the Allies to arrive in Bierdorf, Bavaria - War & Peace Show this morning, part of the village scene before the battle commenced. My first time in the battle arena, camo'd up and in a bunker, scared the life out of me but cant wait to do it again, was just awesome!

Thanks for your time, your thoughts/comments as always are very welcome.
Show finishes tomorrow, I'll catch up with all your work soon Smile

Regards - Sarah J x

Sounds like an exciting experience, Sarah: a very pensive and thoughtful demeanor this child is displaying, worried about what may happen next.
Fine shot from the show.

A priceless example of staged photograph, which in itself is crammed full of endless narratives, simply wonderful.

Nathan's comment above is spot on. These events don't attract me personally, because I'm not into play-acting, shop-assistants and dentists dressing up as GIs, but they throw up the occasional gem of a shot and this is one such. I love the home-made toy, that takes me back to childhood!

Thank you very much everyone for your kind comments.

Ron and Ann - aw i'm so chuffed to recieve your awards, thank you so much, makes the last five days very worth while x

Adrian, yes the best time ever at W&P! I did another battle today, this time the Taleban. I've not looked at the shots yet but dont think they will be that good as again I was just in awe of what was going on around me - did manage to crawl out of the bunker this time though! Although just re-enacting, was still quite a scarey experience!

The remarkable contrast between the innocence of childhood and the potential horrors caused by adults. A strong image.

Jeff yes am looking forward to a day off, have lots of work to process though! Re the W&P website, there is only a small selection on there as the guy in charge of it was asked to leave site on Wednesday night! Myself and the other togs will be sending in our work on dvd and it will appear eventually on the site, we all worked so hard!
