Tribute

The firework display to send off the QE2 on Friday was a little disappointing in duration but whilst they lasted there were some good photo opportunities.

This is a single 4 second exposure, nothing done in PS. Thanks to a rare good idea from Anthony Smile we stood on a grassy knoll rather than fighting to get to the riverside. That allowed us to include some people in the shots for added atmosphere.

Thanks for looking, all comments and critique welcome.

I had to download an image from istock for a job I worked on recently Ian - not dissimilar to this, but nowhere near as good - maybe worth submitting to a few stock sites - all helps towards that new lens!

I normally just flick past firework images as for me its the noise and smell of them that get me going !!! Smile

But I like this one as there is so much in the way of explosive stuff going on from the cracker like ones at the bottom to the money shot of the big ones, as it were Smile

Thanks Dave. Yes I liked the contrast and also that all the big ones are different colours.

Lovely composition with the fireworks, people and buildings.
