Trig Light

Stanage Edge yesterday morning. The sky was quite clear when I arrived but by the time the sun came up the clouds rolled in and for about half an hour it was pretty good before it was clear again. My main problem was that there was that much moisture in the air the filter and lens had to be wiped before each shot. I didn't get as many images as I would have hoped but was still a decent session.
Thanks for the awards on my last image and thanks to Epz for the EC. I was well happy!Grin

Beautiful warm light, Ryan, love the puddles. I got interested, and so went googling for trigpoints. "They are generally located on the highest bit of ground in the area, so that there is a direct line of sight from one to the next". I now realise what a triangulation pillar is, what it's for and how little I knew about them beforeSmile. I doubt if I will ever go trigpointing at my age, but think it might be fun.

After reading Pamela's comment I see the significance of the triangulation pillar - something I wouldn't have known about either. Stunning light Ryan - it always amazes me
how you find new stones or the trig point in this today.

A great result considering the conditions, I find the left bottom corner dragging my eye away from the lovely vista you captured and wonder if it would balance better if lightened slightly, great result all the same Ryan. GrinGrin
