Tryfan Ridge

By Niknut
Dedicated to Jennifer (Taggart).....she wanted to see the view from the top of Tryfan (seen in my earlier shot of 'Ogwens Jewel')........Smile

This is taken maybe 3/4 of the way up the ascent of the North ridge of Tryfan, with Y Garn top left, & Foel Goch top centre, the lake is
Lyn Ogwen, with the A5 road heading north-west alongside........a wonderful climb on a lovely day..............

Many thanks for all the C&C's for 'Loch Quoich'.......glad you liked it !!Smile

Have a great weekend everyone....not too good today, but tomorrows weather looks very promising, fingers & toes crossed !!.Grin

I wonderful mountain scene and landscape where once again the attainment of a high vantage has allowed an image that I for one could only imagine: but as well as being a fine image it is packed with so many geological features that tell of past glaciation and erosion.

Such a wonderful view and expertly captured, Keith. I had to turn back from Bwlch Tryfan because I found myself in dangerously developing weather conditions a d thick fog. I still hope to get up there before my body can't keep up with my mind Grin

These mountains have such a great similarity with the high peaks in the Alpes, and the loch in between make them look heavenly.
Thanks for posting this.

Keith A great shot. It brings back memories. I climbed Tryfan in 1963 aged 14 in plimsoles. ( you can do the sums ) --- with Snowdon and Crib Goch the day before. Having seen aerial shots of Crib Goch since I must have been fearless then. Regards. John
