Turbulence ...

By sut68
A moody evening down at Godrevy with the 'gang', watching the waves dancing over the foreshore geology was a fabulous experience ... a far cry from the relative calm of this summer.

Cheers for looking in,
Paul

Cheers m'dear, you wouldn't believe how many attempts it took to get the distant splash 'just so' ... on some shots you can't make out the island, let alone the lighthouse SadGrin

Great composition, Paul and trademark quality technique, timing and processing....but Wink

You new that was coming! Tongue

I think the drama of the capture, and therefore the image as a whole, would really benefit from more oomph!
The dark rocks are just about spot on, but the sky and sea could both stand considerably more punch, imo, and a more poswerful image would result.

Try a duplicate layer set to multiply at around 60% opacity with a layer mask painted to protect the darkest tones (I tried a white mask and painted with a black brush at 40%). It really gives a much more dramatic sense of light for the lighthouse to play against.
See what you think...it's only an opinion, of course, but I think it works for the better!

Cheers...counting down, mate! How are the butterflies? Wink
