It's a decent record shot of your meal, Ksenya, and you have used depth of field to good effect, with the focus on the meat. I think that a slightly lower viewpoint might have worked better, and a horizontal format, to give more prominence to the turkey and to include more of it and the dish in the frame. The light is a little flat, so you could have used flash to give some "sparkle" or highlights to the bird. I feel that this was just a grab shot of the special meal, but if you had given more consideration to your composition before shooting, it may have appealed to a wider audience.

I'm afraid the lighting is very much against you resulting in a very heavy image. I'm sure a full stop more exposure might have helped to brighten things up a bit, but the impression might have been better with flash, even with the resulting lighting fall off.

Welcome to EPZ Ksenya.

I was so sick of turley a few weeks ago, but I would love some right now!

Its all been said above. Its a good effort at NOT using flash, and just needs to be brighter. The MODE indicates shutter priority, though Aperture priority (Av) would be the mode to chose here, and then use ISO to get a fast enough shutter speed. 1.25 is a little slow, unless you had the camera well supported. Theres an exposure compensation feature on the camera, so after taking a shot, look at the LCD histogram view, and if the graph isnt all the way to the right its underexposed, so then take another shot with exposure compensation of +1 and check again.

Loaded a mod with the turkey brighter, - can almost smell it!
