Turkey Buzzard

By dawnmichelle
Ok the pictures aren't the greatest. I already know all the bad stuff and you yourself can see it plain. However I am still showing them off because I have never been able to capture one sitting still nor in flight low enough to even make out the face. They land to high up in the mountain or in trees that are so far off that you just see them due to how large these birds are. Yesterday I walked out side and they were so low to the house it was unreal.. Like if you saw a robin in the yard..THAT CLOSE.. So I run inside get the camera which I had to change out the battery and then get back out there. Well nowhere to be seen. I am so bummed out then I spotted them only they were riding the wind current which means they are far far far above me. I thought why not take the pictures. Want be no worse than all the others ...blurring, not even a detail other than a black blurred shadow in the sky. I went to clicking and put it on Sport cause I figured they aren't wasting time up there in the sky... and well when they got so high they looked like dots I gave up and came in to download ... Here is what they look like..
SO with that being said just look at how large these buzzards and not for the WOW moment cause they don't have WOW other than WOW you can make them out. LOL

Thank you all for the well wishes on the doc visit. It went well. He released me back to another doctor but will be on standby for the next slice and dice of my life LOL...
Hopefully that will be a while down the road..

Hope you have been well.... got more running to due for the next week or so I will check in as often as I can even if it just a click..
Keep each other in your thoughts..

I've had just one go at birds in flight and failed quite miserably Sad, so congratulations to you Dawn, you're far too hard on yourself, these are good and I'm only surprised that some of our more able PS folks have'nt done a mod for you to bring out some more detail, well done! Loved the inclusion of Smile

To see them in freedom and to be able to get such captures of them is worth showing Dawn. Never mind the little noise or what ever some might see. I like them, and in the end photography should be fun - you had fun while taking pictures of a great bird in glorious surroundings.

I think you have done a great job anyway Dawn, its not easy to catch these flying things with the cam. Even if it looks like it when you look at some of the fantastic photos on this site. I havent done half as good job as you have whenit comes to flying birds Grin
