A fabulous moody grey textured sky rolled in over the distant Harris peaks and killed the reflected bright sky highlights that would normally subdue the amazing colour of the sea from my lofty viewpoint above Seilebost beach. A polariser helped intensify that colour still more but timing was still critical as the breaking waves produced rather distracting lines of white surf on the water surface so I shortened the exposure time and chose the moment when the least possible waves were breaking to keep the colour palette pure.
