Twas a Bit Breezy

By Tynnwrlluniau
Taken at the time of the predicted storm weather. A difficult place to get a good composition and for this one I descended all of the steps before finding something I was content with. It remained dry but I retreated rather quickly and was wind-assisted back up the steps with my tripod as a mast and filter as a sail Grin

A cracking shot, the detail is stunning.
Love the look of the sea too, oh and the sky, and the lead in with the composition is great too.

Great shot Alun, full of detail and high drama....twas a bit noisy down there as well I should imagine Wink

It certainly was. When I got back to the car I was actually asked that old classic, 'What were you taking a photograph of down there?' Grin
To be fair I know it's just a conversation opener -which is nice- but it's made me laugh over the years as it's been uttered in its various guises. Grin

Great composition Alun! The bridge makes a great lead in to the island and the sea looks so dramatic for not being completely smoothed, the surf on the rocks just adds to the drama. What a cracking image!
You've caught the feel of the storm brewing and I can just imagine the fitter hanging on in the wind.

Alun, found some time to catch up mate. This the most stunning image, from the clarity and range of tone, through to a fantastic work.
