Two little ducks

By franfoto
I made friends with this pair (I'm assuming they are a couple) on a visit to Dartmoor Zoological Park and managed to get very close to them by offering food from my pocket which kept them interested. I got down to their eye level for this shot using a monopod to support my camera. These two were totally in unison with each other with the one shadowing the other on every twist and turn, so cute to watch this sort of bonding going on between them.
Many thanks for your lovely comments and votes on "Scarlet Glow" and for the 'User Award' from Gracelands, I so appreciate your continued support.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the week. I hope the sun is shining wherever you are.
Kindest regards
Fran
EDIT - Sunday 25th May.
Have been called away on a family emergency so won't be posting any images for a while. Not sure how long I will be but will catch up with you all when I get back.

A fine capture of this lovely pair. Super close up (food is always a good thing to have in your pocket when photographing wildlife.) Like the square presentation too. Makes a good comp.

Nice one Fran, you obviously got down for this shot, a wee mention there was a well known 'act' in Scotland called ''Fran and Anna'',dont know if these two are females, but would be a cool name if they were...or Fran and whatever you fancy, nice ducks..

A curious pair, are they cross bred? or a variety I have never seen---

You found a great way to photograph them well

Thanks Jenn, I don't know what type of ducks these are, couldn't find out anything about them on the day, have to agree, I thought how unusual they looked. Perhaps someone on the site might enlighten us.

They have such beautiful colours in their feathers, lovely shot and great detail.
By the way I was lying on the chalky ground taking photos of Wild Orchids when I took my shot of "The Squid".
Thanks for the vote.
