two of a kind

By pluckyfilly
Still at Bushy where all my images posted recently have come from, pretty amazing really when all I went for is the deer, this couple of Mandarin ducks were partnering up and I got a few shots. Thanks to all for comments on yesterdays edited squirrel, the study was cloning around the tail of which I felt worked quite well and thanks to Andy201 member for pointing out the fact I had cloned that blessed leaf in. I wasnt in the least considering the fact there was little room to the left of the image, that was not the objective - the image was taken quickly as he was moving toward me but the cloning was the all important thing as far as I am concerned. Hope you all have a good day its looking a little brighter this end.

Nice picture of the pair together. Mandarins are reputed to mate for life, and are a sign of marital fidelity in their home range in eastern Asia.

If you'd waited much longer before taking the photo, this would've needed an `adult' tag. Wink

These really are beautiful birds Ann. The detail in their plumage looks almost as if it has been sprayed or painted on. Lovely capture.

Very well caught and composed. If you want to try out a bit more cloning then remove the bright leaf above the female's head and perhaps some of the other lighter leaves. It is something that I would do if it were mine
