It's beautiful. Coincidentally, I painted the inside of a box black yesterday, thinking I'd give this technique a go, but I'm pretty sure something isn't right, or the box isn't deep enough because the front aperture (open side) is too big. Didn't you show us your set-up recently? This shouldn't be so difficult??!!

Thanks everyone.

Ok for anyone wondering
The box I used is pretty square.
Turned it on its side so where I had opened it was facing me, together with the flaps caused by opening the box. These cn be used to block any other light coming in from the front leaving enough room for the camera to see inside the box.
Slit cut on the top(which was originally a side), not too wide or it defeats the object.
Used another length of cardboard(was part of the packing inside) and cut a circle in the middle.placed that piece over the slit.
So now there is the option to use the slit for a length of light or the other piece with the circle cut out to make a round shape with the light.
Cut one length of paper to fit so that it slides in the box forming a backing and a base. With different coloured paper I can change my bg and base as I like.
I do hope that makes some kind of sense.
