Tyne in spate

By KingBee
Still having to shoot local, but getting out anywhere with the Fuji and shooting wide gives me a buzz. Then, of course, there's all the fun to be had in the latest version of Nik. It sure fills up the day.

Anyway, here's the Tyne as it looks at the moment after much rain recently - the Nungate Bridge can be seen in the distant background, top third of the image. Again, I've left the verticals alone. Otherwise, in a high-contrast shot like this I'm always looking for halos, about which I'm frankly paranoid, but I can't see any in the obvious places, eg along the rooftops or other straight edges. The sky top centre looks a bit odd but that is just the way it was, I think. Let me know if you have a view on this, because I strongly believe that everything you have to say, constructive or no, makes me a better photographer.

Thanks to Carole for her UA yesterday for "Sunrise....", and thanks also to everyone who expressed an interest.

Yes, I always look out for halos too. Some are so obvious they make me cringe. Can't see any here though. Smile

Looks halo free to me, too, Bob. That's an impressive flow of water; well captured and processed.
