Great viewpoint and a very strong composition; the texture of the stones really suits a mono converstion. Only constructive comment would be that there's a bit of an obvious halo about the the lighthouse. This can be caused by dodging or by HDR effects. I suspect it could be abolished by a careful selection of the lighthouse with 'marching ants' prior to any lightening of it.

Agree with Al`s comments, just a little more careful with the post production work, its a fine image.

Cheers chaps. I didn't notice the halo until I viewed it on a different screen to the one I edited it on. A little too much high pass filter I think.

A great subject matter Leo, which lends itself so very well to this HDR monochrome makeover, a really good piece, in which I admire.

Thank you Nathan. It is not an HDR though. Single raw file PP'ed in ps elements and sfx pro. No tone mapping at all, just selective dodge and burn.
