Typhoon

By altosaxman
Finally made the effort to go to the Mach Loop. It's along drive but the weather convinced me it was time to go. Hoping good weather would increase chances of getting plenty of activity. Day One, two passes from a Typhoon and six from Hawks one of which was in a group of three plus one RAF trainer ie single prop.
Decided to stay for second day as the Yanks had put on a good show with F-15's previous day, of course nothing when was there, plenty around but where practicing combat at high altitude. Day 2 Diddly sqat!!
No activity whatsoever.
Never the less worth the visit just to get a better appreciation of the location etc
Definitely need more visits to really get quality shots as any action is over quickly, unless you are familiar with panning techniques etc and well informed on how the fly boys approach the loop. Massive dose of luck also required.
