Typhoon at RIAT 2012

By MarkBroughton
Hi

Had a great day out yesterday at the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford. Due to limitations of my kit, I failed to get any decent imaged of the jets as they go so bloody fast, its hard to capture them sharp using a standard lens. But here goes anyway, I quite like this one, so up it goes into my portfolio as a reminder of a cracking day out.

Thanks for looking
Mark

P.S. Added a few extra shots too which I quite like...

Hi Mark,

I am glad you had a good time–I'm sorry I couldn't get the lens to you last week. Ironically I'm in Chester tomorrow!

This looks like a promising shot–panning is not an easy technique, and it's one I'm bloody hopeless at. In this case you have managed to get a good sharp image, and it is reasonably placed in the frame. My only gripe is that the image seems to lack some degree of contrast and brightness. I wonder if a little tweak or 2 in the post processing might just help bring it to life a little bit? It could be my monitor however–it is due for recalibration.

Take care, Adam

Hi Adam, no worries about the lens, we will be going back next year, so I may give you a shout nearer the time Smile To be honest I really didnt do too much to this or the others, they are just reminders of an excellent day. I appreciate your input though as always Smile Cheers matey

Not easy to capture good inflight images but not a bad job with here.
