Once again you have managed to be there at just the right time of day to capture your shot with side lighting that permits highlighted and shadowed areas, and enhances textures in the landscape.
You fairly scoot around the country, Sam.
Nice to see these fine old steamers on Ullswater, their red funnels fairly standing out against the predominate yellows, browns and greens.
Ronnie.

Ronnie, you are spot on re the "managing to be there at just the right time " . I had seen this similar scene which I really like and so made plans to go and see what I could do there.
My first step is always to do some research before setting off so that I have a heads up on what to expect beforehand. Using Google earth and Stellarium I was able to tell where I needed to be and roughly what time of day
the sun would be in the best position. Of course it was a gamble travelling almost 2 hours to get a shot though I had waited for the forecast to be just right and fortunately it was accurate on this occasion though I hadn't given
a thought to the fells on my left blocking out the rising sun and so had to wait a good 3 hours or so after my estimate for it to pop up above them and light up the scene. It was only just in time too because only minutes after getting this
the place started to fill with tourists and the area to the right was awash with cars.

Dave , I am thrilled to receive your UA, many thanks !

Many thanks also to all who have added comments and votes, as always they are much appreciated.
