Interesting shot, Richard.

But....Smile (there's always a "but" ...)
It has your hallmark technical excellence, of course, however I think that the lighting is really not working in this shot. Considering the other comments above, I'm probably going to be the only one who thinks this!

Although well lit, it feels to me rather too well lit actually, and you haven't made the most of the location.
If the shot was for Kate's portfolio it works fine and displays her "model-ness" quite beautifully (she is, after all a very beautiful girl).
If, however, this wasn't shot for her pf, then I think you could have used a much more dramatic lighting set-up.
Personally I feel that this location really lends itself to a much darker, low-key treatment and much less light on her, with perhaps just her face and torso being perfectly lit and making more use of shadows, which, along with the shallow depth of field you've used, would bring more dynamism and mystery to this image. As it is, I feel it is rather static and lacking any drama or emotion. And it is underground, after all!
It is, needless to say, a prime candidate for mono, too, given the grittiness of the location.

My apologies if this sounds negative, merely my opinion which I hope is food for thought!

Cheers

Bill

Click for the technical excellence, in any event! Smile

Beautifully captured Richard, the only distraction in my mind is the light by her hair
takes the eye there first, but a great shot and another well thought out image

Hi Bill thanks for your comments and I don't take them as negative.
Do agree that for another type of shot the lighting could have been darker and different, but for this one which was about the cloths so need to brighter light in MHO.
Thanks to all for your comments and feedback.

Ah....thought so!
All is clear now, if you'll excuse the pun! Smile

It did feel to me that it was a "product" shot rather than an "arty" one!

Cheers

A fine product shot Richard, my only negative is that her arms look a little awkward which makes the pose look a little 'tense'. Otherwise superb.

This is technically wonderful Rich, as Bill has mentioned, well lit and showing off the model to perfection. I agree with Bill's comment about a "moody" shot taken there as well, it's a shame you never had the time to do so!

I like the low pov and then with her high heels she has the most lovely long legs. Great light and great image........Sandy

your model doesnt look very happy but perhaps thats purposeful considering it was to show off the clothes - a good shot as always

I think that you've certainly achieved what you set out to do, Richard. Very impressive shot.

I'm caught by the light through the girls arm and it pulls my concentration away from the otherwise lovely image Richard. Maybe if the light was knocked back a little? Congratulations on yesterdays HC.
