Under the Bridge

By ColouredImages
An After and Before for you tonight.....

Version one has selective "orton effect" applied then run through neat image to reduce any noise.

Version two is the pure unadulterated version but appears to have "lost" some of it's impact. The light and colours of version one are more like I experienced on the day.

My preference is for the lead upload, but let me know what you think of each. Whichever you view, LARGE and F11 is bigger and better Wink

Thanks again for your great response to last nights from Gibson Mill, much appreciated

Enjoy your Saturday night we're off out for a meal

Ver 1 for me . not too keen on the other . Is this near Jerusalem Farm Luddenden Dene . ? Super autumn colours and the water treatment is spot on. Love it ....Phil

Great shot. Exposure for the water movement is spot on. Like the water best on v2 but trees and rocks on v1.

V.2 for me, Mike, I'm not an orton lover! Carol

The process has brought the colour alive in v1 but has lost a lot of the detail that shows up in v2 . Just my thought would have played around with the colour temp to see if you could have wormed it up Regards Charles

The original looks good in its own right, but V1 has a glow to the colour that is vey appealing so it has my vote.

I usually prefer images as they are captured without this type of processing, but I have to admit that V 1 does have more impact......I'm not certain what this "orton effect" is meant to do but your use of it here does work for me.

Hi Mike. V2 is an excellent shot and I really like V1 with the Orton effect applied to it.
Hope you're well.

I do like the colours in V1 Mike but the clarity is there in V2,perhaps a combination of the two, retaining the detail from V2 but pushing the colours from V1,especially on that pretty moss on the bank, which for me would light the whole thing up enough.

Like the treatment in V1 works very well and like you say as more impact than the original, but, for natural tones and sheer realism V1 is the one for me..
