Under the Bridge 2

By DicksPics
V1 was taken from under the bridge to Eilean Donan Castle looking toward Loch Alsh.
The A87 road bridge which crosses the mouth of Loch Long can be seen to the right centre of the picture.
To put V1 into context, I have included a V2 which shows the arch of the bridge under which I was standing as well as another view of the much photographed castle and a steamer manoeuvring where Loch Duich joins Loch Alsh.
Many appreciative thanks to all who viewed, clicked and commented on my ‘Under the Bridge’ upload and a special thanks to Peter(handlerstudio) and Ayoob for their generous User Awards!
Can anyone tell me why V2 is filling the screen, please? The file size, pixels wise is more or less the same as V1 - I've uploaded and then deleted several times but I still encounter the same problem, which I haven't in the past!!
The problem seems to be there when I opt to 'View Large' - again, this has not been a problem in the past - seems mighty strange to me!!
Thanks in anticipation of help - I'm sure an EPZer, somewhere, will have the answer!!Smile
Thanks to Dave(Whiterose1) I have now resolved the issue of the huge V2.
V3 looks/is the same as V2 but was uploaded from a smaller file; V4 is what I wanted to see in the first place - you live and learn!!
Have a good day.

V1 is normal size and V2 is very large but looks great, Like both Richard, but the large impact of V2 does it for me.

You've covered an amazing lot of well known places on your holiday Richard
and been to some we natives have not visited - I've passed this Castle but never stopped to take
photographs yet.
I do love V1 with your natural frame and the two rocks making a passageway to see beyond.
V2 (Fullscreen) gives a good sense of the area and the Castle.

Both of these are great and could stand on their own. V2 came out giant sized for me too. (viewing on an iMac using Chrome)

Two great images Richard and I like them both. Excellent composition and view point.

2 Cracking images, Richard. Difficult to choose between the two! Think it has to be V2 - and it IS bigger on my screen too. I wonder why!

I can't say why V 2 fills the screen from side to side eother but it sure lets you see so much detail: two excellent shots from this area and the view from beneath the arch is most original: don't recall seeing that done here before.

Lovely 'view through' image in V1 but the gorgeous textures, detail and reflection in V2 makes it my favourite.

Excellent photos, and really nice the way you crammed V1 with the bridge.

To save all the typing of location information why not just the X under photo and that tell photo location I think. (well it asks me and it works)Smile

Superb is a word which I used all too often and one which in the end gets quite tedious when describing the work of others Richard.

So I shall simply say, breathtaking imagery. Image one framed by the stone bridge instantly draws ones eye, whilst image two is mammoth and allows one to roam freely throughout.

v2 has so much detail and interest held within, Richard, I'm not surprised it's a favourite with many. v1 shows very good use of the bridge as a natural frame. The dimension size of the v1 is 1000 x 486, v2 is 2000 x 1000, the latter being a panoramic upload I believe, hence the size difference. It would appear you didn't resize v2 before saving for upload.

Viewed them "normal" - OK and then large and V2 took the breath away it was so amazing. Love the use of the bridge to act as a frame in V1. Both these deserve a vote all to themselves.

Two superb images both deserving of their own upload. Not suer of the difference in V2 and 3.
V1 is wonderfully framed and as Joan says V2 takes your breath away....well captured

Sorry for any confusion, folks - V3 looks the same as V2 but was uploaded from a smaller sized file.
V4 is what I wanted to upload in the first place - thanks to Dave, I now know how to overcome the problem of a huge image appearing on the screen!
Thanks Dave!!SmileSmileSmile

Yes, it's as Dave says, it depends on the pixel size you save the image as for uploading! Wink
I've seen images of this beautiful castle many times, but never actually been there - something I must do!! Smile Two cracking shots, Richard Wink
