"Under The Spreading Chestnut Tree"

By RonnieAG
This one is for Ann {pluckyfilly} and it was taken yesterday in my local park under a very cloudy sky with soft even lighting which I feel helps record the colours in the canopy more accurately.

My thanks to all who commented on Down by the Riverside.......I am most appreciative.

Just perfect for autumn Ronnie.
We're seeing more colour this year than last.
This is lovely with couple walking along path
and the orange carpet under the trees.

Classic composition and lovely tones in the flat light. Most of the 'conker' trees down here are all brown and diseased now Sad

Classic image, beautifully composed and timed - the two raised feet give a nice sense of movement against the still landscape.
Lovely autumn colours, Ronnie, well framed , and the figures are placed perfectly, like the path leading up and away good shot.

What a pleasant place for a leisurely stroll, especially together with the one you love. Underneath that magnificent canopy, it must feel like a world of its own detached from the rest of the environs. Soft, natural light. A real good one, Ronnie.

A beautifully composed image of autumn Ronnie, such a splendid array of seasonal colours and the couple are perfectly placed along the path. Autumn is further ahead in Scotland than it is South of the border, the leaves are only just starting to change here and it'll be a couple of weeks at least I reckon till the colours are at their best
