Underneath the arches

By mrswoolybill
Another one that first appeared in b&w maybe I'm feeling the need for some colour now.
The Newcastle Quayside viewed from the shipping containers development under the Tyne Bridge, on the Gateshead side of the river.
Thanks for looking,
Moira

Somehow makes me think of the opening scenes of "Blade Runner." ( The original one of course )

I like the fact you have not used a head-on approach to photograph the lady (perhaps not possible?) The side-on view makes her look a bit coy plus with the background also gives it scale.

I'll admit that it never even occurred to me! I don't do things head-on... Wink

She looks enormous! A fine capture, Moira, and with all this cold grey weather about we need a bit of colour 👍 It is a bit 'Blade Runner' -ish, one of the first films I bought on DVD, and still one of my all-time favourites 🙂

As much as I liked the mono version, the colour works better for me, Moira.
I've just been to the dentist and had an injection so my brain is a bit numb for explaining why.

Very impressive artwork, composition and capture, and a shame it is partly hidden from view by the bridge.

It's Blue Monday, so the need for colour is perhaps a natural feeling.
