Underneath the Arches

By rburnage
Walking back to London Bridge Tube station after a day out in London and this looked like it would make a great black and white (and I think I was right). The lights on the columns and vaulted ceiling was what grabbed my attention and then it was just a case of waiting for a gap in the crowd for a space in front of me to lead you into the picture.

That was very well judged; the subtle light on the ground acts as a good leading line, and with the lighting on the arches gives a strong sense of perspective, plus the crowds give energy.

Excellent recession and perspective working well in mono.
