Underneath the arches

By Nettles
Photo taken of the lovely Fountains Abbey vaulted ceiling. I had to wait for about 20 minutes to get a shot without people in, such a popular place and very peaceful. Well worth a day out.
Thank you for looking.

A very nicely composed shot.

Been twice now and on both occasions, the other visitors have given me the time to take my shots. Guess being six foot and mean looking can have its advantages! Wink

Nice angle and composition. Like the receding arches and the cross against the window. Phil

Nice one, well worth the wait. There are so many angles here - move a foot either way and the perspective changes completely; change focal length and you multiply that by ten....You have chosen very well, I think, and you have made a great job of managing the light!

Beautifully composed - the simple cross gives definition and focus.

Stunning shot!

But I wonder - would having a person in the frame somewhere not give an added something - a sense of scale, and a focal point?
