Unexpected beauty

By marktc
Good afternoon all.... Ventured out to Swanage and Kimmeridge at 4 a.m this morning, without too much anticipation.

Arrived nice and early and had time to prepare (beach shots to follow) and then the sunrise occurred, just as these gorgeous clouds and sea fog started to appear.

Apart from a little lens correction to compensate for the UWA distortion, and a smidge of sharpening, this is out of the camera.

I'm really pleased with it, and I hope you like it too. Thanks for looking and to all those that clicked or commented on yesterdays snap of Benjamin.

I like the foreground symmetry of the pier and the contrast with the smooth clouds. Lovely colour as well, Mark.

One of your best Mark -I love the warm colours of the sky with silhouetted f/g.
I see you managed to get pier end nicely below horizon line.

Perfect balance and those raillings look good silouetted against that soft light. Grin
