Love the wonderful curves and shape of this fern stem as it was unfurling. Taken in the Monte gardens, Funchal, Madeira.

Would appreciate any comments on the dappled sunlight in the bg - I'm quite happy with it, and it couldn't be cloned out (too much) nor did I feel able to remove the bg. But as I say - I'm happy with it, just feel some might have comments about it.

Angela, it is a great shot with good focusing of the fern in the foreground and I think the natural setting as the background is excellent as it is!

Nice shot, I like the idea of capturing nature in its infancy like this. Good use of apeture to throw the bg out of focus. But as to the bg I see the overexposed white patches a bit distracting.
