Unmasking

By woolybill1
Discarded single-use face-masks, and a few more expensive ones, lie around everywhere. This is a walkway in a supermarket car-park.

Many thanks indeed for your votes, comments and awards yesterday, all very much appreciated.
Thanks for looking.

I suppose that if there are so many of them that they are piled high, then they would be layer masks?

Now, where did I leave my coat?

Shadow down into the corner, words on the left edge, pathway running central, the sign at the right edge with the trellis squaring off the top.
A class in composition with straight lines.
Nice one Bill.

Hope Moira was tolerant and got the shopping in while you were playing outdoors 🤣

Hate seeing masks discarded as birds and other small animals get entwined in the loops. I always find a stick and hook it up and find a bin. Discarding them at home I always cut through the loops with a pair of scissors.

Happy to make it 30. Interesting to note from Colleen's comment that - litter-lout nation that we have become - we're not the only street polluters in the 'civilized' world.

They are fast becoming the new chewing gum on our pavements, Bill.

Great perspective here, really gives the shot depth 👍 But why do people just drop their masks in the street? It's not like they can't easily be put into a pocket until a bin is found. It's a bl**dy disgrace. And as Colleen says, a hazard to birds and animals, people are so thoughtless 👿

Well composed and photojournalistic image Bill.

These lying around and dog poo bags hung in trees are the scourge of the streets and woodlands! Meant to protect from passing on disease and then left lying around and a danger to humans and wildlife.

It looks like a mini shopping bag! The new detritus of the Covid era, unfortunately bigger than the previous leader, cigarette buts!

Yes, a new kind of street littler Bill... Plenty in my area of London, people don't bother to look for a bin...

Super perspective shot, Bill (as Dave says above). Shame that the foreground interest is a litter mask, but a robust comment on some (too many) people's attitude.
