Up close and personal with a Jay

By Stevetheroofer
I thought I would have another go at some wildlife life photography with my wide angle Tokina lens.(Thanks for the idea Austin Thomas you are the bestSmile)
Having set up my camera on a tripod less than ten inches away from the Jays favourite fence post I lay in wait with my hand on the remote.

Above is the result, let me know what you think.
I gave the image a wide crop to enhance the wide angle. Any bird a few inches away from your camera can be a risk but these large crow could of ended in disaster!

Thanks for taking time to look
Thanks Rookery for always taking time to comment I do appreciate the comments

I'd crop a bit on the right (probably just excluding the telegraph post) - but this is carping! It's a brilliant shot!

Wonderful shot !!.......lovely clarity & colours, with a near 3D quality......refreshingly different, with the w/a lens creating a
sort of 'environmental-portrait' ??.....impressive stuff !!.Smile

It's a brilliant capture but for me the wide angle provides an odd perspective.
