Thank you all for your great comments and votes yesterday, This photo taken an Angie's has been one of the most successful photos I have taken, not in monetary terms but for awards, so far just lost a trip to Yellowstone, but won £400.00 in photography vouchers for second place, accepted in to 16 International Salons with 8 highly commended, and the icing on the cake that I was notified about yesterday! See copy of email below, I am proud to have taken this, but to let you all know you can also do this, I only started putting photos in to competitions last year on the suggestion of Paul (Metro) and this is what has happened. Your work has been selected from 54,851 images entered from 170 countries. This is an incredible achievement.
Your name will be announced to press and on our website, on 5th February but before then it is absolutely critical that you keep this information confidential. The winners of each category will be announced on 19th March.
Following the 5th February announcement, we encourage you to highlight your achievement through your website and/or social platforms. We have created photographer’s badges for your use in such announcements, which can be downloaded here
We encourage you to update your WPO member profile to reflect your achievement, following this press announcement. We hope you ensure all your images are visible for our wider audience to view, and that your name and contact information are correct and easily searchable for anyone who may wish to speak to you regarding your work and success. You may do this by logging in to your member profile on worldphoto.org, selecting "Profile" under your WPO Account, and updating your name, bio, and contact information accordingly.
Additionally, we write to now as we need your image in high resolution, as your image will be shown in our annual winner's book, on our website, and digitally at Somerset House, as part of World Photo London from 26th April – 12th May.
The high-resolution uploader will be active, as of 10th February and the deadline for uploading your images is 17th February.
