firstly, thanks for the mod Willie...my default is set at -1/3rd, really only because I use a LR preset that brightens up all the images anyway...the iso issue - I always shoot in Aperture mode (unless I'm really unsure) and I had done a couple of shots in really poor light......this seemed to have ramped the f stop up to f22. So my D60 seemed to have remembered that setting and was holding the iso at 800 on all subsequent shots....have now re-set down to f5.6 and the iso is back to `auto' (as it should be).

Nothing wrong with using ISO 800 in the dim conditions it looks like this iamge was taken in. I was using just that going round my local town just last week. Only using a compact but little noise to be seen after going through Lightroom.
Oh, and the bins on the street look identical
