Good morning epzers...won't be long now!!! SmileSmileSmile

Continuing ....."The Windsor" on the GF a bar, formerly belonging to the Royal Hotel next door...`The Royal' had plans for complete refurbishment, whilst retaining the frontage (maybe a listed building?) but the financial crisis put paid to that.

V2 - mono conversion as per usual...check the blue doors GrinGrin

I get the sense that Bangor, like so many seaside towns, is struggling to keep its head above the water so to speak. I see similar frontages along the East coast. Out-dated under-booked hotels and the ravages of sea winds on decor - it's a lethal mix.

Indded....Local government have secured funding for `Public Realm' works which will see money spent on new paving, street lighting and rubbish bins etc., (several millions of pounds)....on the face of it, just `tarting' up......but every little helps in this period of austerity..NI seems to have been hit pretty hard Smile

Seems odd if there are only two hotels in the town, they are both next to each other! V2 again as my fave, Jeff Smile

So sad, many seaside towns are under the constant threat of either going into the sea, or to the dogs.

Spoiled for choice, hotels, bars, and chimneys..

You need to stitch all these together one day into a panorama.
