Urban Dawn

Hi,

I met up with Chris (Trogdor) on Saturday morning for an early photo session, had a great time. This was taken at 05h20, yawn, using Hi-Tec 1.2 Grads.

Cheers

I hate these monstrosities, but you have made an excellent image with it. Carol

Wonderful. After we met I went and bought an ND for myself. I genuinely like yours better than mine, even though they are completely different styles. Your use of foreground makes this image for me. The grass adds punch to the colour of the sunrise. And, I agree with your yawn as well!

Yes great light and mist, works well. I'd prefer it without so much lean on the tower, I'd like to see those lines going out as if over me, to add a more dynamic composition. You could get this by a shift to the right, getting under them more.

Good exposure control, lots of deatil throughout, oh and I like that you haven't cloned out the contrail, too many do Sad

Wow.
I love the colours.
I love the detail in the grass.
The aircraft contrail in the sky intersecting the power cables works well.
My only down side is that I don't like the way the tower is leaning - it just looks wrong but i'm sure other will love it.
Great work.

A nice graduation of colours in the sky, but the grass looks like as it has been shot in daylight too light for that time of day, so it seems out of place, also the perspective of the leaning pylon does not do it for me,seems as if its falling down as all else looks straight.
Absolutely love the comp, colours and tower detail. Great shot, Marc.
