The colour brings it to life Paul, and I adore shots like this. So much detail to feast the eyes on. Maybe a tad bright in the centre of the shot .... how many exposures? The shadow cast by the window is a nice touch too.

I like flipping back and forth between the versions. Victor has the right idea.

If this is your kitchen - come decorate mine! Super image, nice set up with lots of interesting detail. Love the shadow play on the wall. Both versions have a different quality - both nice, but I lean toward colour here.

Lovely image, Paul. It may seem a strange thing to say, but, it has sharpness and punch along with the perfect amount of diffused glow. I'm sure most people would walk past/not generate this image - great bit of imagination.

I love the way the shadow from the window echos the squares of the tiles. Definitely no1 for me!
A lot of people today often seem to prefer B&W images but I grew up in the 50's and it was such a delight when colour photography came in that I now always seem to prefer colour!

I prefer version 1 because black and white doesn't suite the subject but again great idea.
