The great thing here Colin is the amount of wonderful images you have captured. This is never easy when it's as busy and crowded as it during this mad week. The sheer number you have that all stand up in their own right is just amazing. I'm happy if I get one or two good ones I can work with.

I think Robert sums it up very well. Never been to carnival, but have seen YouTube footage and have to agree with him.
I'm with Tony on this one, Colin, V11, as if transported directly from Spitalfields.

That is Wolfgang Flik, Pamela.
He also organises the costume shoot on the last Thursday of Carnival, in front of the impressive Salute Church (short name).
It is across the water from St Mark's Square.
Maybe a hundred or so costumes and, it seems, as many photographers!
For the last two Carnivals he has sent me personal, handwritten invitations to the shoot, by post from Germany!
