GIVE something next year that will really be appreciated....... your BLOOD.

Most years recently I have been called to donate on Christmas Eve.It's a real pleasure to go along if only to thank all the staff, and fellow donors, for their efforts over the past year.
As you can see I have reached the milestone of 50 donations and they thanked me with the Gold badge and a pen.The certificate is in the post.
Most of us know of someone who has benifited from a donation so if possible could YOU join the donors club as there is always a real need for many more donations...it only takes an small amount of your time AND it does NOT hurt.

IF THIS OFFENDS ANYONE PLEASE EXCEPT MY APOLOGIES.

Great award and I know only too well the importance, for year I donated, made it to 27 donations, then needed some 25 pints of blood !!!!!!!! bad accident, coma, operations, massive blood loss etc :-( so now I sadly cannot donate but am forever grateful.

Really well done Keith, "if this offends anyone" ...I only hope they never need the help that people like you provide. Such a wonderful gift.. the gift of life.

Have a truly wonderful Christmas and a very prosperous new year.

I think this is something to be proud of Keith.. Congrads. I have been there both giver and a taker and if it wasn't for people like yourself where would we be.

Merry Christmas

I'm already there, but sadly the area where I live is not very good at this sort of thing & the days have been reduced from 3 to 1, & you now have to make an appointment, which can make it very awkward sometimes, and they change the day all the time, but I get there whenever I can.
Congratulations on your gold.
Merry Xmas to you & all the best for 2008.

You should be very proud of this. Can't imagine how anyone could be offended and maybe this will prompt someone to "do something amazing" in this comong year

Congratulations Keith - - would love to be joining you but since I had a transfusion in 1984, I'm no longer eligible Sad

I used to be called to give blood 4 times a year over here.
Then some legislation stated that if you have spent more than a total of 3 weeks in the UK from 1987 to 1997 then you could not give it due to the risk of CJD !.
Not only am i o resus negative that is in very short supply over here but they used to give you a bottle of Guinness as an alternative to a cup of tea..GOOD OLD IRELAND !
Oh by the way great shot.
Cheers.....Paul
