Very Special Dogs

By gingerdelight
As promised, here are some more photos of Lily, Bailey and Benny. They are all so special that I could not decide which one to put in "prime" position, but I loved the expression on Lily's face, together with the fact that she is wearing her special coat.

V1 is Lily, whose picture I have uploaded before from an earlier visit. She has started her official training now but is also being considered for use as a breeding bitch.

V2 is Bailey, and I just loved the way she is sitting in this one!

V3 is Benny, the only male. He is like a cuddly bear and has a wonderful roundness to his head.

I hope you enjoy these pictures of very special dogs.

Carol

They are all so gorgeous with their silky soft looking coats and wonderful faces. I too just love V2 and that arrangement of rear legs! Seems unfair giving just 1/3 of a vote to any one of these beautiful images but have only one full vote to offer, so a share it has to be!!

We simply do not appreciate the intelligence and loyalty of assistance dogs until you come involved with them.

I have a hearing problem and my Hearing Dog for the Deaf, Mr Mervyn , is my complete helper and even picks up on noises he has not been trained to respond to and draws my attention to them.

Grand shots.

I love the alert expression on Lily's face - looks like she'll make a good guide dog Wink. Also love Bailey's 'puppy sit', so cute.

I have seen some photos of Mr Mervyn and he is a real cutie - I am sure he is an extremely important part of your life Rob. I have nothing but admiration for all these assistance dogs, especially as they are mostly funded by contributions.

Goldens have been our family' choice for years--- these are beautiful! and will make wonderful companions!

Re: Mervin-- I have learned to appreciate my cat as an assistive hearing critter--- he hears vehicles coming down our lane and can sort which are familiar sounds long before I hear them-- Animals are great helpers!

Lovely set of shots Carol - I just love Bailey ! (I had a brown tabby/white persian called Bailey, he was wonderful, unfortunately we lost him to cancer at just over 2 years of age - I still miss him).
