Vice of Painting

By Philip_H
Thanks for the C&Cs on 'Who Do You Think Your Are Kidding?' Grin

This is another capture from the same Nostalgia Weekend at Sledmere House, East Yorkshire.

During WWII, the British government rationed cosmetic products, except for lipstick. Churchill reportedly felt that the product was great for morale, and sales of lipstick soared throughout the 1940s as a result Grin

All the best,
Philip

Composition, angle and crop working together! Plus fabulous subjects... (But the lip-gloss is a wee bit out of place... )

Nicely taken and processed image with a fascinating description. The lady in question is using a 21st century lip product and quite right too. The early dipsticks were horrible!

You look at this on a page of thumb images and the power of composition sets it apart. There are a number of things including the frame effect to make this a powerful image. Excellent! TG
