Victim!

By lifesnapper
Hi all and many thanks indeed for your fun comments and lovely votes on my 'Boys Toys' images.

Well girl's, would you walk along in a public place holding your purse and phone in your hand? Not advisable I would say, in fact, she has victim written all over her. (No, don't look for the tattoo's) This world is a hard enough place to stay safe without inviting trouble but hey! maybe you do this all the time and don't see the problem. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.Smile

All the best to all,

JohnSmile

Her only storage for valuables is the jacket slung round her shoulders, which would be even simpler to snatch than her purse and phone!
Of course, she could have a minder nearby, six foot six and eighteen stone of solid muscle - - - you did look over your shoulder, I trust? WinkWinkWink

Many people seem unaware about how easily they can be dispossessed. A valuable comment and imageGrinGrinGrinGrin

The thing is with phones now costing up to 1000, I wonder if she would be doing the same with the same amount of money in 10 notes ?

Just a thought...

an expensive smartphone was stolen from my daughter-in-law a couple of weeks ago.. she was standing in a museum queue and was careless enough to have the handset stuffed into a back pocket of her jeans.. luckily she noticed it quickly enough and hurried to ask her telecom provider to block the SIM card

I didn't even notice the phone/purse...😁😁

She could be an undercover police officer.. setting up a sting? They've had reports of some guy with a camera casing the local young ladies!!!😁

You're right of course, there are an increasing number of low life snatch and run thieves
out there, it doesn't pay to advertise your expensive wares or to leave yourself vulnerable.
As your lovely young lady is demonstrating. It applies to everyone though, young, older, male , or femail.
Even the six foot six eighteen stone of solid muscle types can be victims if their not careful, these thieves can run very fast.
Many of them use scooters or motorbikes these days, so beware if you're strolling along a city street as well.

I agree, John.

This is a common sight holding a phone , when the phone size is too big for pockets
She is inviting crime holding purse & phone I agree with you, John

I will never, ever blame the victim. People should be able to walk freely carrying whatever they choose without being mugged. And when it comes to sexual assault I will quote my late father,

"A woman should be able to walk down the street naked and still not be raped."

Excellent candid photo though.

I agree with you whole heartedly Lynne but sadly...

My advice always take precautions to make yourself less of a target. I remember a youth trying to steal my elderly mum's handbag in Blackpool - her friend hit him with her shopping bag which happened to have a heavy ornament in it which she had just purchased - he didn't get the handbag ran off defeated and hopefully with his bravado deflated.
11 Sep 2018 6:45AM
Brilliant Irene, and I hope her ornament wasn't damaged in her attack.😊

Of course she should be able to carry her purse and phone like that if she wants to.............unfortunately the world has gone stark raving mad and its getting worse everyday!
Phones in back pockets of jeans are just as daftTongue

It is not justifiable today to have people unaware of the dangers they face in our every step. It is naive, and it usually costs more than a smart phone and a wallet.
Very well seen your "victim" and excellently photographed, John!
